Migroteka

We are happy to welcome the City Public Library in Biała Podlaska in Eastern Poland and the Academic Library of the Ochota Public Library in Warsaw to join the network of partner libraries participating in our "Migroteka" project. Now, eight libraries throughout the country host our collections of migration and asylum related literature.

In Poland, there is still lack of professional literature concerning refugees and migrants. The number of foreigners in Poland is constantly rising, yet workes of many professions lack information on how to meet their various needs.

"Migroteka" is PFM's idea to create a widely accessible database and literature collection that would concern practical issues related with the presence of foreigners.

Each of the seven participating libraries already holds a collection of some 60 volumes. We plan to expand the collections to host around 150 volumes, and aim to broaden the network of libraries to ten.
